As part of our trip to CA we took our first venture into the Magic Kingdom with the kids. It went pretty well. Addie crashed with a fever in the middle of the day and took a nap in the stroller but as soon as she woke back up she was good to go.
Addie and the cousins looking forward to the day.

Lizzie was especially excited about... pretty much everything.

Believe it or not "It's a Small World" was a highlight. The girls lit up during this whole ride. Of all of the rides this was one of the best simply because of them.

Yup, Mickey Mouse pretzel. How do you pass that up?

The Teacup adventure went surprisingly well although shortly thereafter Addie started not feeling too well. Related??
I love this picture because it captures both girls together at the same time kind of looking at the camera. Not a common thing on the day.
I love the brooms in Fantasia. I always have. Kind of weird, I know.
The family with the big man. I'll be honest, I got kind of excited to see him when it was our turn.
One of the girls. I don't know if you can tell how excited they were. We waited in line and passed up playgrounds in Toon Town and other rides just to see Mickey. They thought it was a small price to pay.
Between getting the girls up there when no one else was around and getting them to look at the camera this was another major victory.
After this we went to see the fireworks. After every blast Lizzie would say "Here comes Tinkerbelle" When Dumbo came out on the zip line I thought she was going to hyperventilate with excitement.
After the fireworks we were walking out the gate and all of the sudden Minnie came running out of a gate right in front of us. The girls then promptly swarmed.
She stopped to talk to Lizzie for a second and gave her a long hug. That was kind of the perfect ending to the day.

FUN! I want to take my boys to Disneyland so bad... and I've been waiting till they got a little older thinking that my parents would always be there. Now that they're in Alaska I don't have an excuse to head to CA anymore!
Looks like it was a perfect day!
My girls loved Small World too. I had no idea they'd like it so much since all day long Brinley said she liked Splash Mountain the best. (We did Small World at the end of the day)
